West Egg

Okay for starters, it took me several weeks after hearing about this place to actually go. I LOVE breakfast food, but anytime I would attempt to go, there would at least be a 30-45 minute wait. Let me tell you that the wait is so worth it! Tip: Be sure to get to there within 30 minutes of it opening to avoid the wait or go there for a weekday late lunch when the crowd has died down. Now I haven’t been to every breakfast spot in Atlanta, but this is always my favorite spot to suggest to people because everyone will find something they like and the prices are extremely reasonable.

WEST EGG is located on the Westside of Atlanta and serves all things breakfast. What I appreciate most about this place is that it has a New York feel with its industrial furniture and décor and you can even have private events here! Okay now on to the food! So while I love everything on the menu at West Egg, I will just to try to share my personal favorite items on the menu that you can’t pass up if you visit.

Roasted Garlic Grits- Now I know what you’re thinking, grits are a risky thing to order sometimes because it can either be too lumpy or too soupy, but these grits are AHHHHMAZING! Super creamy, not too garlic-y (you won’t leave the table needing to pop a mint) and they give you a nice portion, so you’re not too stuffed.

Sour Cream Pancakes- Now when I first heard of the idea of sour cream in my pancakes I was a little turned off, but it’s actually a brilliant idea! These pancakes are super fluffy and are served with spiced honey butter. It’s a pretty nice twist if you are a picky eater, but want to step out of your comfort zone a bit.

Drink Menu- This may be a tiny thing to appreciate, but their drink menu is pretty extensive and has more items on it than coffee. They offer teas and even fun limited time only drinks like the Unicorn Hot Chocolate!

That’s all for now but where will I end up next? Check back here for more good eats!

Keep shining,

Brynn
